Dr. Akinwumi A. Adesina is Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of the Global Africa Investment Summit. He previously served as President of the African Development Bank Group and is globally recognized as a leading development economist and agricultural transformation expert, with over 30 years of international experience. A bold and results-driven reformer, Dr. Adesina spearheaded a historic turnaround of Nigeria’s agriculture sector during his tenure as Minister of Agriculture from 2011 to 2015, eliminating four decades of corruption in the fertilizer sector and delivering far-reaching reforms within just four years.

Margery Kraus, a globally recognized master storyteller and communications innovator, is the founder and executive chair of APCO, a global advisory and advocacy consultancy headquartered in Washington, D.C. She has deep expertise in providing strategic counsel on issue-based communication, crisis management, market entry and corporate reputation across diverse industry groups.

Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield served as United States Ambassador to the United Nations, as well as the U.S. Representative in the UN Security Council from 2021-2025. As a career diplomat, Thomas-Greenfield has had a wide range of assignments including Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, where she led U.S. policy development for sub-Saharan Africa. She previously served as Director General of the Foreign Service and Director of Human Resources, overseeing the State Department’s workforce. Her notable Foreign Service roles include Ambassador to Liberia (2008-2012) and postings in Switzerland, Pakistan, Kenya, The Gambia, Nigeria and Jamaica.
